Painting and Floor CarePosition SummaryThe Maintenance Assistant provides quality maintenance functions to the facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredMinimum of one (1) year maintenance experience preferredProven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferredKnowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferredSpecific Job RequirementsValid driver's license in current State with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standardsMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to:
patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential FunctionsAssist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacementsInspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safetyRun errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipmentExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable, regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamSit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursRead, write, speak, and understand the English languageAn Equal Opportunity EmployerAbout the Company:
