6K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago JOB DESCRIPTION TOPP Industries is looking for an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join the TOPP Team! The HR Generalist is responsible delivering comprehensive HR related support and services.
Must maintain current knowledge of legal requirements, able to resolve complex HR issues, consultant to management and provides HR guidance and support.
Responsibilities may include developing and implementing retention strategies, employee relations, Workman's Comp and FMLA administration, new hire orientation, performance management, communication and training as well as some administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities Recruit and Onboard new hires Manage Payroll and benefits for employees Oversee Company Safety Program and ensure safe working Conduct performance management and provide feedback Assistance with DOT Compliance, as necessary Essential Functions Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
Processes weekly payroll for all employees and manages accurate benefit deductions Administers employee benefits and manages enrollment process Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new-employee orientations; handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.
Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
Promotes positive employee relations and culture within company Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities Required) Strong knowledge of local employment and labor laws/regulations required Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies Must have the ability to coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
Ability to research and analyze various types of data.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Workers Compensation and FMLA leave administration Intermediate written, verbal and presentation communication skills Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience and current knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred Minimum of two years of responsible experience within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment with 50
employees Intermediate HR Generalist knowledge, management skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, consulting abilities, decision making skills, financial, analytical skills, and influence skills.
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills Attention to detail and good judgment Job Type:
