Reports to Director of Nursing (DON) Working Conditions:
Attends and participates in continuing education programs Works in department as well as throughout facility Subject to frequent interruptions Involved with patients, associates, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc.
under all conditions and circumstances Subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, etc.
Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays, and in other positions temporarily as necessary Subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc.

Must possess a nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing) Must be currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities - Assess patient needs, develop and implement nursing care plans - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care - Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive measures - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment
Experience:
- Minimum of X years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting - Proficient in pediatric nursing, including assessment, triage, and administration of age-appropriate treatments - Experience with tube feeding and medication administration - Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to phlebotomize patients when necessary - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth or similar platforms - Strong understanding of infection control practices and protocols Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in State - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - CPR certification - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
